We are thrilled to celebrate the achievements of Swedish students in two international YPT competitions.
Silver Lining in Berlin
As part of one of our participating schools’ ties with Herder Gymnasium in Berlin, a team of students from Malmö Borgarskola competed at the Berlin Young Physicists’ Tournament (BeYPT) on the 24th of Jan 2026. Huge congratulations to Astrid and Kayra (Team HamBorgars – IB24), who returned home with silver medals in the team competition. Astrid also achieved an amazing 2nd place in the individual ranking!

Mike (IB24) and Abdalkarim (NA23C) and gained great experience contributing to a very successful trip. Alongside their teachers, Ben and Sam, the team also took the opportunity to visit our German partner school, Herder-Gymnasium, as well as Freie Universitätet strengthening international ties. Thanks to our friend and colleague Falk Ebert for hosting us.
Bronze in CaYPT
The momentum continued at the online Canadian Young Physicists’ Tournament (CaYPT) 2026. Team Sweden with Faizan, Tong (Malmö Borgarskola), Suki (Katedralskolan Uppsala), Tianyi and Ivan (British International School Stockholm) secured an impressive 5th place out of 14 teams overall. The team earned a bronze medal in the international category of the competition and only narrowly missed a place in the final.

We look forward to selecting the team at our nationals on the 6th-7th of March in Lund.
